A new comedy starring Lesia Nikitiuk is set for release this January: Starlight Production and Green Light Films launch a strategic partnership.

Ukraine’s largest content producer, Starlight Production, and film distribution company Green Light Films are beginning collaboration in the theatrical release of feature films. The partnership currently covers three projects, with the first scheduled for release during the holiday season.

This collaboration with one of Ukraine’s key distributors marks an important step in Starlight Production’s expansion into feature filmmaking. The first film to be released under this partnership will reach wide audiences this winter: the Christmas comedy Two Christmases, One Lesia, starring Lesia Nikitiuk, is set to premiere on January 1, 2027. Following its theatrical run, the film will also air on Novy Channel.

The film Two Christmases, One Lesia tells the story of Lesia, a shop assistant from Bila Tserkva, for whom Christmas usually means debts and her parents’ constant arguments. However, this year, thanks to a Christmas miracle, she gets a chance at a different life. Instead of a cramped Khrushchyovka apartment and everyday struggles, she finds herself in the glamorous world of a TV star. There’s just one twist: each night, falling asleep in one reality, she wakes up in another—and must ultimately decide whether to remain in a glossy illusion or be truly happy where she is accepted for who she really is.

The film is produced by the Starlight Production team, including screenwriter, creative producer, and dramaturg Yurii Mykulenko (“I, You, He, She,” “Krashanka,” “Servant of the People”), producer Olena Antonova (“Who’s on Top?,” “Head of the Village,” “The Field”), who brings over 15 years of experience in entertainment production, and Andrii Savchenko, a producer of TV series and feature films (“Head of the Village-2,” “Service 112,” “The Artist”).

Rights distribution is handled by Starlight Media, while theatrical distribution is managed by Green Light Films.
